These hoop earrings feature tiny, listless rat bodies dangling from each one, adding a touch of the macabre to your day-to-day look. The rats hang with a kind of effortless surrender. Rats have long been misunderstood creatures, but they’re actually incredibly social, resilient, and intelligent. Known for their ability to adapt and survive in nearly any environment, rats represent resourcefulness and perseverance. These earrings carry that same quiet strength, a reminder of what it means to keep moving forward, even when the world seems heavy.

Dimensions:
The rat charms measure 10mm tall and 13mm at its widest. The hoops are 15mm. The hoops click closed and open and are hinged.

Materials:
Silver: brass charm on solid sterling silver hoops
Gold: brass charms on 14K gold plated (over sterling silver) hoops

The base metals I use (Silver Tone and Gold Tone) are both 100% brass. White brass is a metallic alloy that is made of copper and zinc. There is no nickel in any of our jewelry. For more information on the metals I use, please see the FAQ's.
